We use data gathered on location to predict your energy demand and come up with an efficient and reliable power plan. In order to process all the data and limit manual calculations, we have developed Powerplan. This way, we create your tailored power plan.

Power supply can be 50% more efficient in 4 out of 5 cases

When we first started monitoring power consumption at festivals, it quickly became clear that the power supply for these types of events can be at least 50% more efficient. This is because four in five diesel generators are using less than 20% of their capacity.

This is not only the case at festivals, but also at construction sites, ports and airports as well as at temporary projects run by network operators. And in the case of seasonal consumers such as campsites where diesel generators are also used often. By setting up an efficient power plan, you can determine the optimal set-up for your project and increase efficiency. Planning ahead can save costs, as well as prevent problems.

Power plan software

Powerplan uses a predictive algorithm that uses our expert knowledge, combined with data on how energy is consumed in a wide variety of cases enabling us to provide you with a detailed consumption profile for new projects.

You can search for a combination of power sources yourself or let our optimisation model calculate the best solution for your specific situation.

Power zones and users

In Powerplan, energy users are divided into power zones. Based on the expected energy demand of all users, we determine the infrastructure needed for a reliable power supply. Several energy assets can work simultaneously on a project to enter the data relevant to them.

Powerplan also registers which infrastructure is already present. A small grid connection or a few solar panels, for example, can be included in the optimisation package. Finally, our Powerplan algorithm generates a proposal for the energy storage and generation you require.

Because everything is linked, adding or removing a user is no problem at all. Powerplan immediately shows where changes occur, or problems arise.

Predicting power consumption

On the basis of a fully developed power plan, an accurate estimate can be made of your expected energy consumption at any time. In addition, peak consumption can be predicted more accurately. Both help to create a reliable power plan, without overcapacity.

Our prediction and autonomous control software always guarantee the most optimal energy generation.

A power plan in 3 easy steps

1. Make an inventory of energy demand
For each project we make an inventory of how much energy consumers will use. The more accurately this is done, the more efficient your power plan becomes. We ask you and your suppliers to provide your energy needs in as much detail as possible. You can supply this information directly to our Powerplan software or import it from a previous year.
2. Create power zones
We assign energy consumers to ‘power zones’. We then select the best power source for each zone. This is based on a prediction of your energy consumption and our optimisation algorithm. If there is no data, we estimate your energy use based on experience from past projects. We will give you a clear overview of your power zones and energy sources.
3. Clear reports for installers
Our report makes it clear to the installers which equipment, cables and distribution boxes are needed, and where they should be placed. This means that your installers know exactly what is required, and we avoid (costly) excess of power supply. All processes and equipment are optimised to achieve the most cost-effective and sustainable solution for your project.
