Events and festivals strive to be more sustainable. Not relying solely on diesel generators is a great start, but you’ll still need another power source to take its place. Greener is your reliable partner in sustainable temporary energy solutions. Our batteries can power anything you need; all you need is a small grid connection.

The horseracing event has strict net zero ambitions. For this year’s event, they called in the help of our partner Power Electrics to help them with their energy needs. Together, we looked at the energy demand and provided a tailor-made solution.

Five batteries, four setups, 2.1 MWh of battery power

Greener provided five batteries across four different locations at the event, providing a total of 2.1 MWh of power. The batteries were set up at various courses and tracksides, each connected to the grid and set to peak shave. The stored power provided a boost during peak times and powered the various stands and stages.

Two batteries were set up within the main hospitality enclosure. One battery connected to the grid with a backup diesel generator and a second battery was connected to supply energy to the load. This hybrid setup vastly reduced fuel consumption with the batteries providing the majority of the power.

By relying on the sustainable power of our mobile batteries, the event saved over 3000 litres of diesel and 10 tonnes of CO2. Providing not only green energy, but fresh air to the whole event.
