A considerable amount of power is required to install sheet piling. Greener provided Gebr. De Koning with a battery to supply these powers, so no diesel was needed. This resulted in fast sheet piling for the new residential area Weespersluis, using 100% green energy.
Battery on a trailer
The battery was placed on a trailer, so it could be transported easily together with the installation. The battery effortlessly provided the peaks needed to place the sheet piles. At the end of the construction day, the battery was returned to the 3x63a grid connection 100 meters away. The battery was charged with sustainable electricity at night. This way the construction team could get back to work the next day with a fully charged battery.
