New terminal without sufficient energy

The Danish distributor of flowers Alex Andersen has built a new terminal for their location in Aalsmeer, The Netherlands. However, when the construction finished, the available construction grid connection was not powerful enough for the operations to start. To enable Alex Andersen to use the terminal as quickly as possible, the original plan was to use two big diesel generators. Due to the increasing diesel fuel prices, as well as the sustainability policies of Alex Andersen, they were searching for a greener alternative. With this question in mind, they asked the consultancy JansZon, which specializes in advice for solar systems. The consultants at JansZon had heard of Greener Power Solutions and the mobile batteries, so they suggested this option to Alex Andersen.

Sustainable and cost-effective battery solution for flower distributor

100% diesel-free battery solution

To quickly solve the problem for Alex Andersen and ensure smooth operations, Greener delivered a mobile battery, which was directly available. This battery was connected to the available grid connection of 80 ampere, which was also used during the construction. In the beginning a back-up diesel generator was also installed on location, however, after several weeks of operations it became clear that this back-up generator was not necessary and could be picked up again. Additionally, a new solar park has been installed on location and connected to the battery for a green energy supply. A permanent battery was ordered by Alex Andersen and with the available data from the mobile battery by Greener, they have not only the knowledge that this solution works perfectly but also information about the energy consumption and possible yield from the solar panels. This temporary solution proved to be sustainable and cost-effective when compared to diesel generators. With high diesel fuel costs and the necessity of starting operations as soon as possible, the temporary battery solution was a big success for both Alex Andersen and Greener.
