Temporary housing for migrant workers

Kafra Housing is offering temporary housing to migrant workers in the Netherlands. For one of their newest projects they transformed an old office building in Almere into about 80 apartments. For the newly-built housing, the available grid connection cannot deliver the power necessary because it was suited for an office building, but not for delivering power to over 80 household. Kafra Housing applied for a grid reinforcement, however, the delivery of this grid reinforcement takes time. Therefore, Kafra Housing was searching for a different solution to deliver sufficient clean electricity quickly to bridge the time until the grid reinforcement is installed.

“Without Greener, we would have had to wait 1.5 years for the new grid connection to be installed. Now we can use our building with 81 studios without delay because the battery guarantees our energy supply in a sustainable way.”

Director Kafra Housing

Quiet and clean battery-power

By using a Greener battery on location, the available grid connection is used to supply sufficient power for the temporary housing and all the electricity needs of the residents. This solution not only leverages the available power, but also ensures a quiet environment to ensure that there is no disturbance. The energy necessary for the temporary homes can therefore be supplied without using even one drop of diesel. By avoiding the use of diesel fuel, emissions like CO2 or nitrogen can also be prevented to provide a clean electricity and emission-free surroundings for the migrant workers.
