Radio station powered by solar energy
At Camping Belgica Bolt and Studio Brussel set up a microgrid with 25 kVA solar panels. This grid is used to generate the necessary energy for the radio station as a sustainable alternative to diesel generators. However, the electricity generated by the solar panels needs to be converted and stored.
Buffering with a mobile battery
To ensure an efficient use of the generated solar power, the electricity is stored in a Greener battery. With the included inverter, the electricity becomes usable for all applications. Additionally, any surplus of energy is stored and can be used at a later point, for instance during the evening and night hours. With this solution, Studio Brussel and Bolt have been able to minimize the use of diesel generators by over 90%.
