Temporarily green power during the Christmas season
Christmas is the busiest time of the year for Dutch industrial bakery Braas. But scaling up production is difficult, because Braas has a transport limitation of 800kW. The bakery is located in a congestion area. To avoid fines, Greener offers a peak shave solution. With our battery and our customized EMS, Braas can bake Christmas stollen without any worries.
Peak shaving is the solution
The situation at bakery Braas is complex, because power comes in on 2 different transformers. With 2 separate meters on both transformers, we ensure that the customized EMS can work properly. This way, we always know what the power demand per transformer is. Plus: the total of the two transformers. The battery is always aware of this. Does Braas need more than 800 kW? Then our battery delivers. If the power demand is lower than 800 kW, the battery charges. The energy demand is therefore never higher than 800 kW.
